What is ISM?
The Islamic Society of Michiana (ISM) is a non-profit religious organization serving the Muslim community across Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. Located at the heart of the Michiana region, ISM is dedicated to fostering a strong Islamic identity through spiritual guidance, educational opportunities, and meaningful social programs.

Our mission is to help Muslims in the area live up to the ideals of Islam, cultivate a deep love for God, and actively contribute to the well-being of their community and country. Through prayer services, youth engagement, interfaith outreach, and charitable initiatives, ISM stands as a welcoming center for faith, learning, and service.
Our Objectives
To foster unity among the diverse Muslim community, rise above sectarian differences, and strive to establish an American Muslim identity. To facilitate the practice of Islam among area Muslims, foster their spiritual growth, and cultivate a deeper and more meaningful understanding of Islam and their relationship with God, humanity, and His creation. To build bridges of understanding between Michiana Muslims and non-Muslims and enhance their relationship, promoting religious tolerance and acceptance for the good of all.To help Michiana Muslims to love God, their family, their community, and their country.
