Funeral Services at ISM
The Islamic Society of Michiana (ISM) offers comprehensive support for families during their time of loss. Our funeral services are facilitated by dedicated Muslim volunteers, ensuring that the deceased receive the proper respect and care according to Islamic traditions.

Supplies
Ghusl of the Deceased: ISM volunteers will be available at the request [contact: Imam] to perform the ritual washing (ghusl) of the deceased, adhering to Islamic guidelines.
Janazah Prayer: We conduct the funeral prayer (janazah) to honor the deceased and provide support to grieving families.
Burial Options
Highland Cemetery: ISM has purchased 200 burial lots at Highland Cemetery. If you wish to reserve a spot for your loved one, please contact Imam Mohammad or a board member, Brother Mohammad Al Amouri.

Fairview Cemetery: A designated Muslim burial section is available at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. For arrangements, please contact the cemetery directly.
Kafan (shrouds) and other necessary supplies are available for purchase through the Imam at the Masjid.
Last Will Form
To assist families in preparing for end-of-life arrangements, we provide a form for writing an Islamic last will. This document ensures that your wishes are honored in accordance with Islamic principles.
